Ian Raisbeck reports:
On 8 March 2025, the New Zealand Golf Club hosted the annual triangular match featuring the London University Golfing Society, the Old Uppinghamians and the Old Peterites.
This event has become a cherished tradition created by the Lloyd family who host us with class, grace and delightful stories, with previous encounters highlighting the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the teams.
In the 2025 edition, a joint team of LUGS and Old Uppinghamians faced the Old Peterites. A closely contested match resulted in a well-earned 3-3 draw.
The afternoon saw several friendly matches played out in the glorious evening sunshine as we caught up with life-long friends and reunited with those we’ve partnered in previous years – truly making the most of the special heathland course.
