Congratulations to Stuart Lloyd (St Thomas’s 1978-83) on winning the Jubilee Vase at St Andrews earlier this month. The Jubilee Vase, presented in 1887, is one of the main events during the Royal & Ancient’s Autumn Meeting. A knock out match play, Stuart, playing off 7, won the final by 3/2 in spite of conceding 12 shots.
Many of us thought it curious that Stuart built a full size replica of the Road Hole bunker in his back garden some years back. It is clear though that practice pays!
